Garena Shells to be Sub-Divided on October 2010

What's happening to the Garena shells?
Garena is sub-dividing the online currency called Garena Shells (formerly GG Shells) in hopes of providing a better service to the Garena customers.

This new sub-division would change each existing Garena Shell into 10 new Garena Shells.
So to illustrate this idea, it would be something like this:


Existing Garena Shells balance in your Garena account will automatically be multiplied by 10 on the date of the Garena Shell sub-division.

When will this division of Garena shells happen?
The planned sub-division is to take effect around the middle of October 2010.

I bought Garena Prepaid Cards. What happens to them?
Garena prepaid cards bought in the current GG Shells amount which have not been redeemed at our site (payment.garena.com) can still be used after the sub-division. The Garena Shells amount equivalent of 10 times the amount shown on the original prepaid card will be credited to the user’s account upon redemption. So, there is nothing to worry about.

After the Shell sub-division, sales of Garena Shells through Garena prepaid cards will be based on the new Garena Shells value.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
The planned Garena shells sub-division would have little, if any, impact on Garena Gamers except for the fact that it opens up a wider range of purchase options for Garena’s various memberships, micro-transactions and in-game items.

This would help improve Garena's service by helping gamers have more options.
